  Rich and poor
As you've probably all heard, BB is spicing things up for the last few weeks by diving the remaining housemates up into two groups: rich and poor. This follows an idea which was used in the third series in Britain. The three "rich" housemates will have access to luxury items such as the indoor showers, etc. while the three "poor" housemates will be forced to do all the work and receive only the bare essentials. More details about it here.

So who will be rich and so who will be poor? On tonight's Up Late show, Mike Goldman revealed that it will be determined by the results of a ball game sometime today.

How successful will the idea be? We'll have to wait and see. I guess they had to try something as viewer interest has really started waning following Jo's eviction.

  Jo to co-host Sale?
She's out of the house and the rumors are getting stronger. Joanne may host Sale of the Century when it returns to Nine later this year.

Jo with boyfriend Tim

A News.com.au report said:

``I can't say a thing about it. It would be a great opportunity,'' said the 23-year-old who has created the biggest media interest of any housemate in Big Brother's brief history.

Despite former housemate and serial pest Ben suggesting she would pose for Penthouse, Jo told The Sunday Mail she would not agree to any nude centrefolds, adding: ``I get enough exposure from Ralph (magazine) and I'm happy to keep my clothes on.''

I think Jo *would* make a decent Sale co-host. Now they just need to find a host... surely they couldn't resurrect Tony Barber?

  And the nominees are...
Vincent, Patrick and Jamie.

With only two girls left in the house, it's time to get rid of a guy. And I hope it's Patrick. Can anyone name one memorable thing this guy has done at all during his two months on the show? Sure, he's a nice bloke, but he never does anything - he's the invisible housemate. It's a strategy that has worked for him so far, but interesting television it ain't. Finally, with the group down to six he has managed to piss off some of the others - Chrissy wasn't happy with his plan for eight people to share one roast chicken when two were available. Vote out Pat, I'm sick of his bland, inoffensive personality and his stupid Brumbies scarf.

However Vincent is probably favourite to go, seeing as the public has a bad perception of him - I don't know why...he's generally fairly quiet and keeps to himself. Token gay Jamie hasn't really come out of his shell yet due to his intruder status - but if he sets a foot wrong this week expect him to go (a sequel to the "Johnnie Rotten" incident maybe?). Drinking all the Milo may be a sin in share-houses, but surely it doesn't warrant eviction?

It's time to go... Kim and Saxon
Okay, well I haven't updated this blog for a week now, and yet a lot of people still seem to be coming here. So I better give you all something to read. Here's my thoughts on the current situation:

Sunday's evictions saw Kim and Saxon leave the house. Kim was 29%, while Saxon was 19%, with another housemate (BB kept him/her anonymous) was a small fraction of a percentage point behind Saxon.

Kim's eviction was a fait accompli, ever since her racist joke blunder. An intruder will never win Big Brother, so Kim never really stood much of a chance before her politically incorrect incident. Despite that, she did start to bond with the housemates after a while, and I found her more of an endearing character watching her fighting with Saxon in the spa on Up Late. Also her friendship with Regina was quite forseeable, given that they both live "simple", "rural" lives. The biggest surprise was not Kim's eviction but the fact that she kept herself from dropping the f word sometime on eviction night.

When I heard Gretel read out the name "Saxon" on the second eviction, I was in shock. I was sure it would either be Vincent (who's had a lot of bad publicity over his apparent coldness) or Jamie (as people haven't had as much chance to get to know intruders so they're more easily dispensable). Ever since the start of the series, I had despised Saxon, with his "cool surfer"/"mummy's boy" image. His personality was actually fairly similar to Blair (runner-up of BB1), however I liked Blair a lot more. When Saxon fell for Jo, and she led him on but failed to reciprocate his love, I had an overdose of Schadenfreude (you know what this means, Simpsons fans - taking pleasure in the suffering of others) in my system. In his final week, however, I realised that with housemates like Carlo, Ben and Leah gone, the house needed Saxon for his, well, youthful energy. Without him things may be a little flat.

Only six housemates remain. It's down to: Chrissy, Daniel, Patrick, Jamie, Vincent and Regina.

  Eviction Prediction (TM)
Well this week it's Jo v Reggie v Dan. Jo will go.

Everyone loves Reggie, so there's no way she'll be going. Reggie's Tassie accent is the foundation of Big Brother this year. Jo is hot favourite to go, simply because she has been the focus of BB TV coverage this week. The hot topic has been the rising of the Jo v Reggie rivalry, in which each seems to be jealous of the other's popularity. Reg just has a lovable personality, while Jo is a cocktease in the way she deals with Saxon. Not to mention her exploits with Patrick, Vincent and Ben (*cough* ho'! *cough*). Dan is safe simply for the fact that he hasn't done anything of note this week, and will slip under the radar yet again.

Centrebet Odds:
1.10 JOANNE
4.00 Daniel
26.00 Regina
